As my time in this role progresses and I talk to more people, a number of questions are emerging that help give clarity to the areas of work that Culture Southampton can support and develop in the city.

At the Trust we will want to explore these questions further with the creative people who live and work in the city. Some have practical answers, some require a more strategic approach for which we will be offering opportunities for discussion and debate so that we can improve these early thoughts over the coming months.

South West Writers' Development Competition

Nuffield Laboratory is pleased to announce a writers' development competition in celebration of the British Art Show 8 in Southampton.

Grants for the Arts Advice Session

Arts Council England offers awards from £1,000 to £100,000 for a variety of arts related activities. On 25 Feb, Adam Gent, ACE Relationship Manager for Southampton will be giving an introduction to the funding process.

'Imprint 2' from Red Hot Press

The exhibition showcases a selection of recently produced, original prints in a range of printmaking techniques from thirteen Red Hot Press printmakers.

Southampton City Art Gallery Open Exhibition 2016

All residents of Hampshire, Isle of Wight, Wiltshire and Dorset are invited to submit their artwork for the Gallery's 'open exhibition' around the theme of 'sport and recreation'.
