Southampton Cultural Development Trust is an independent, registered charity (Reg No 1139269). The Trust’s objective is to support and enable development of the Cultural Quarter, through fundraising and advocacy.
Building on the success of SeaCity Museum, the Trust’s priority is to raise funds to complete the new arts complex, the final piece in the Cultural Quarter jigsaw.
The Trust is governed by a board of unpaid volunteer Trustees drawn from the business, education and arts communities, who are advocates for the arts and culture in the city.
The Trust is entirely separate from, but works closely with, Southampton City Council. There is one Council representative on the Board of the Trust.
The Trust is also working closely with the University of Southampton, Southampton Solent University, the National Oceanography Centre, Southampton Connect and other key organisations across education, business and of course arts and heritage.
