In 2015, Caterina directed and delivered a year-long heritage-based public engagement programme at the Houses of Parliament to coincide with the 800th anniversary of Magna Carta – Parliament in the Making. The London 2012 Cultural Olympiad and its finale, the London 2012 Festival, formed the largest celebration of arts and culture that the UK has ever seen. Spread over four years, it gave everyone a chance to join in the celebrations as London made good on its bid promise to deliver a UK wide event and ‘Everyone’s Games’.
Initially a director and producer on the London fringe, Caterina began working on festivals in 1997 as director of Piazza Performances at the opening festival of Shakespeare’s Globe. From 1999 to 2002 she was Director of Celebrations at Winchester’s Hat Fair. Her outdoor arts career went on to include the roles of Founding Artistic Director of Arts Fresco and Theatre Programmer for the National Theatre’s Watch this Space festival.
