Southampton Music Hub hosts 50@50 events

This summer Southampton Music Hub will be helping to celebrate Southampton's 50th anniversary of city status. They'll be hosting 50 musical events across the city in June, including an exciting mix of workshops, concerts and showcases for school children as well as everyone else who wants to get involved in Southampton.

6 June - Flautissimo Open Rehearsal, Immaculate Conception Church, 6 - 7pm (grade 1 - 4), 7 - 9pm (grade 5+)

7 June - City Art Gallery performances ft Shirley Warren Community Choir, Southampton Clarinet Chorale and Southampton Choral Society

13 June - Flautissimo Open Rehearsal, Immaculate Conception Church, 6 - 7pm (grade 1 - 4), 7 - 9pm (grade 5+)

14 June - Ejector Seat Festival, Palmerston Park

14 June - Pirates Ahoy! Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, £4-7 Turner Sims, 11.15am - 12.15pm

14 June - Scratch Windband, Cantell Maths and Computing College, 2 - 3.45pm

20 June - Flautissimo Open Rehearsal, Immaculate Conception Church, 6 - 7pm (grade 1 - 4), 7 - 9pm (grade 5+)

21 June - Brass Bands Summer Concert, Chandler's Ford Methodist Church, 7.30pm

23 June - Southampton Young Strings Performance, IKEA, 4.45 - 5.30pm

27 June - Flautissimo Concert, Immaculate Conception Church, 7.30pm

28 June - Performances ft Saxophony + Love Soul Choir, WestQuay, 11am - 12.45pm

28 June - Music Fayre, Cantell Maths and Computing College, 12noon - 4pm, ft performances from Chinese Art, Twango and Clarinet Chorale

28 June - Southampton Youth Orchestra Concert, Turner Sims, 7.30pm

30 June - Jazz Orchestra and Panatical, Hanger Farm Arts Centre, 7pm
