Artist Bursary Scheme - Cultural City Conference - Southampton Cultural Development Trust

We appreciate the value of artists’ voices and want them to be included in our conversations in a meaningful way. We also understand that for many artists taking time out to attend a conference is difficult. It is tricky to take a day away from work, and if you aren’t working you aren’t earning.

That’s why we are offering 10 local artists the opportunity to get paid to join the conversation and attend the conference.

We consider artists to be anyone ‘creating’ for a living, including painters, dancers, sculptors, musicians, actors, writers, filmmakers. If you are living and or working within Southampton and want to be part of the cultural conversation then apply today.

In return we simply ask you to attend all events and play an active part in the discussion during the event. If you would like to write a blog, live tweet or create a visual/physical output from the event as well then let us know in your application.

Each artist we select will be awarded £100 and VIP delegate passes.
